You can found tulsi in every indian home especially in hindu families usually women’s of these family start there day by worshiping tulsi ji .

This puja is also known as tulsi vivah which usually performed during the month of octuber-november at 11th or 12th lunar day.

It is very important ritual of hindus.tulsi puja is a marriage ceremony of goddess tulsi (vrinda) with lord Vishnu (saligram).

To perform puja first thing you should take bath and wear clean clothes and place the plant in the center of the courtyard and decorate the pot or place where it is grown and make mandap with sugarcane and mango leave and flowers then offer water to the holy plant and wrap the stem with red cloth or chunri apply kumkum and offer flowers ,fruit sweats and other things which you want and then light dia to perform aarti to complete the puja .

Tulsi is a sacred plant, which can found in every home in Hindu religion. It is also called as vrinda.  People believed that tulsi is an incarnation of goddess mahalskshmi. Tulsi represent duty, dedication, virtue, love and sorrow of women and that is why women’s worship it.

In every Hindu home  people begin their day with the worship of Tulsi, which is usually perform by women’s.

They start puja from taking bath and proceed with the decoration of the place where the plant is grown whether it is a pot or land. Some people make rangoli or alpna for decoration and use leafs of banana, mango and sugarcane. After that offering water, kumkum, cloth and finally perform aarti. Sweets or fruits also offered to the tulsi.

Tulsi is very important and amazing plant not only spiritual point of view but also as an herb. Tulsi is very useful for the health. Its smell make atmosphere healthy and pure and prevent us from the mosquitoes and insects by hindering the growth of these insects. Eating five leafs daily in the morning improves immunity and increase memory. Leafs of this plant is also helpful in malaria and gastrointestinal problems. It is also beneficial in the treatment of fever, cold or cough.

There are two types of tulsi, one is Shyama Tulsi and other is Rama. Shyama tulsi is considered more beneficial than the Rama.Tulsi
